I would ask you, and I know your time is short, give just a few minutes and bow your heads and your hearts with me. And, quietly to yourself, if you would like to be one of His ambassadors, if you would like to be empowered from on High and walk in those works that God prepared for you beforehand and you’ve never given your life to Jesus Christ, I would ask you to do it. You’ll never be the same and you’ll never be sorry. It’s a great adventure. It’s not easy but life’s not easy. But it counts for eternity; we’re all on our way there. Bow your heads with me if you would please.

Father, we come before you this afternoon as women whom you created, whom you love, and for whom you have a plan. I thank you for assembling us together today. We ask Jesus Christ to forgive our sins, to come into our heart, and to take up residence there. We ask, Lord, that your will would be done and not ours. We accept you Lord Jesus and what you did for us when you died on Calvary that we might have eternal life. We commit our hearts and our lives to you and Lord, we want to walk in those good works that you prepared beforehand that we might walk in them. Make us the women that you created us to be, your ambassadors, your secret agents, your leaders in a dark and a dying world. Empower us from on high, O Lord, and we’ll give you all the praise, the honor, and the glory for it. We thank you and we pray this in the name of your son Jesus, Father. Amen.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed my message about when Jesus Christ has come into your heart and your life. I know there has never been a time that I have regretted committing my life to Christ. Leading a life as a Christian in the world today is not an easy thing. The Lord never said it would be easy, or a rose garden as they say. But, then, life isn’t easy and I would hate to face it without knowing that God was walking through it with me, that He had a plan for my life, and that, as I was obedient to Him, He was responsible for giving me the grace, the ability, and equipping me to do the things He called me to do. I know there are many things I’ve done in my life that I could never have dreamt I would be able to do but I leaned very heavily on my Heavenly Father as I walked through life. If you have committed your life to Him today or renewed your commitment, I would encourage you to grow in your faith. It’s vital that you do. I don’ think there is such a thing as just coasting, you either grow on or you start to bit-by-bit fall away.

First of all, I would encourage you to get in to God’s Word. There’s life in it. You can’t explain it in the natural but there’s life in God’s Word. He speaks to us through it. He strengthens our spirit. He builds our character. Read the bible everyday. The gospel of John is a good place to start. And I would urge you, also, to get in to bible study with other believers. You learn through God’s Word as God teaches you through other people. And the fellowship of other believers is crucial. Be sure to spend time with other members of the body of Christ. You know, we all are to support one another and when one hurts, we all hurt.

And, then, be sure that your prayer life is high on your priority list. We’re to pray without ceasing and for a new Christian that is sometimes hard to understand, but we are able to do that as we grow in our faith. You know, as you walk along and as you do things in your daily life, I can remember I used to think about this. And I remember training myself early on, rather than thinking to myself, thinking to God. So, it becomes a running conversation with Him and prayer is really just talking to our Heavenly Father. I’d encourage you to guard your prayer life and your time spent with Him.

And if you have not committed your life today and you think you’re not ready to do that, I would encourage you to read God’s Word anyway. You’ve got everything to gain and absolutely nothing to lose. I want you to know, all of you, that I really do care what happens to your life. You’re a key part in His plan. Don’t let this opportunity to grow on in Him pass. I pray that the Lord will bless you and those you love.
